With ten independent ZyLink™ networks, each with an unlimited number of Zylight fixtures, the lighting possibilities are endless. DMX512A compatibility is also built in, with a full-size XLR connector ready for your standard cables. Integrated Power

The built-in rechargeable battery gives you hours of wireless control, and can be recharged from an AC Adapter, or through any computer’s USB port. No external power supply is necessary for operation. Three extra buttons control special functions such as cross fades, and a removable belt clip keeps this powerful yet compact tool within easy reach.

Remote FAQ

Why do I need the Remote?
The Zylight Remote is used to control all of our instruments functions from up to 60′ (20m) away. This allows our lights to be mounted in a studio or hidden on a set and controlled from a distance. This can be a real time saver over the course of a shoot day.
What can I adjust with the Remote?
All functions such as color temperature adjustment, color correction and dimming can be adjusted from the Remote. Think of it as an extension of the light so anything you would do at the light head can be done from the palm of your hand. Aiming the light, however is up to you!
How is the Remote powered?
The Remote is powered by an internal battery.
How long will the Remote last on a charge?
The Remote will last about 6 hrs. on a full charge. Zylight recommends turning the power off when the Remote is not in use. Recharging can be accomplished through a USB cable or by using your Z90 power supply.
What is the range of the Remote?
The range is up to 60′ (20m)
What frequency does the Remote operate on?
The ZyLink enabled Remote will not interfere with wireless microphones or wireless video transmission and operates on the same frequency as todays wireless earpieces.
How many lights can it control?
There are 10 separate channels to choose from on the Remote. You may assign any number of Zylight instruments to each channel creating a very large scalable light source. For example, a dozen cyc lights could be placed on one channel while Key lights are assigned to another. Every light adjusted on the assigned channel will react to the wireless action. The cyc lights could all change color or be dimmed in unison with one Remote.
Will it work with my iPhone?
At this time, the Remote is a standalone product.
Can I run wireless DMX?
A standard 512A 5 pin DMX connector is provided on the rear of the wireless for sending a DMX signal to our instruments within the recommended range.
