HD-led™ Module

At the heart of every Zylight is a next-generation High-Density light-emitting diode (HD-led™) module that packs multiple high-power LED elements into a single square inch! These little marvels are by far the brightest available in a compact LED light.

The Z50's HD-led™ module casts 160° of beautifully soft light, while the Z90 has a 130° spread. Other LED lights use inferior bulbs to project a narrow cone of 50° or less, creating an uneven pattern of hot and cold spots. A quick comparison is all you need to see how HD-led™ is the only way to go.

About LEDs

LEDs are complex semiconductors that require more than just power to make them work right. Small variations in voltage, current, and temperature can greatly effect an LED's color temp, brightness, and overall life.

Zylight's patented control circuitry and built-in microprocessor automatically compensate for these factors and continually adjust the HD-led™ module to ensure stable, flicker-free output over the entire dimming range for years of reliable operation.

High Output

Like all high-performance semiconductors, LEDs do get hot when driven to their maximum brightness. Anyone who says otherwise is simply not driving their lights hard enough. Probably because they are using older bulb-type LEDs that are encapsulated in plastic, making it impossible to effectively dissipate heat. To compensate for the lower brightness they 'project' their light through tiny lenses, further reducing the output and creating hot and cold spots in the resulting narrow beam.

Zylight's HD-led™ module has no lensing, maximizing the amount of useful light with only a protective window between the LEDs and your subject.

The numbers speak for themselves: Why buy a 5 or 7-watt LED light when, for the same money, you can get a full 30-watts of Zylight power?

"Get that thing out of my face it's too bright!"
